Arena of Champions: WoW Arena in the Browser
Arena of Champions, at arenaofchampions.live, is a fan-made arena you play in the browser: 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, plus unrated duels. The public client we read on 30 October 2026 is 0.21, “Fresh Slate”, dated 2026-10-29. It is not Blizzard’s game, and it is not Azeroth Survivors.
Other games use this name. Last Epoch has an Arena of Champions wave mode. Genshin Impact has an Arena of Champions card queue. Portal sites still list an old one-player Flash game. This page is only the browser arena at arenaofchampions.live.
Where it runs
- Browser: https://arenaofchampions.live/. The page loads
aoc_client.jsand a WebAssembly module. That build asks for a WebGL2 canvas. This desk has not played a match. - Guest: Play as Guest is on the sign-in screen. The client’s 0.11 note says you enter town with every hero, under a name like Guest12345, and that signing out on the same device brings that guest back.
- Account: email, display name, and password. Patch 0.9, still in this build, says the game moved to arenaofchampions.live and that making an account no longer needs an access code.
- Windows: ArenaOfChampions.exe from that same host. 103,749,120 bytes on 30 October 2026, file date 29 October 2026, 23:18 UTC. The client’s own text says it is the same game on the same server. We did not run it.
- Discord: the town button “Join our Discord” points at https://discord.gg/kxb5shx8hf.
Client file aoc_client_bg.wasm, last modified 29 October 2026, 23:08 UTC. Patch notes inside that file stop at 0.21. We do not host the client and we do not put it in a frame.
What 0.21 changed
The newest note in the client, dated 2026-10-29, resets every rating in every bracket to 1500. A win gains at least 16 rating up to 1500, tapering to 6 at 2500 and 2 at 3000. A loss costs at most 18. Queues keep healers on separate teams when they can. Polymorph, Fear, Cyclone, and Sap hold one target at a time. The same note says you can bind the mouse wheel, target with F1 to F3, and play full screen.
Classes in the client
Nine classes. Druid has three specs; Balance, the Moonkin, was added in 0.20 on the same day. Health and the resource name are the fields stored on each class record. Hunter’s auto-attack range is stored as 30. The other eight are stored as 3.
| Class | Specs | Health | Resource |
|---|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Arms, Fury | 5,250 | Rage |
| Mage | Fire, Frost | 4,200 | Mana |
| Priest | Discipline, Shadow | 3,950 | Mana |
| Rogue | Assassination, Subtlety | 4,600 | Energy |
| Hunter | Marksmanship, Beast Mastery | 4,750 | Focus |
| Paladin | Holy, Retribution | 5,000 | Mana |
| Warlock | Affliction, Demonology | 4,450 | Mana |
| Druid | Restoration, Feral, Balance | 4,600 | Mana |
| Shaman | Restoration, Enhancement | 4,750 | Mana |
Each class has two utility slots beside the bar, from 0.19. The five choices stored in this build:
| Utility | Stored as |
|---|---|
| Gladiator's Medallion | 120 second cooldown. Breaks stun, incapacitate, and fear. Usable while those are on you. |
| Bandage | 8 second channel, 275 heal, then Recently Bandaged for 60 seconds. Damage breaks the channel. |
| Infuse | 8 second channel, 375 mana, 1200 second cooldown, and only out of combat. |
| Hustle | 90 second cooldown. Speed modifier 0.45 for 4 seconds. |
| Healing Tonic | 1200 second cooldown, 900 heal, no global cooldown. |
Brackets, duels, and the clock
Queue text in the client names 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3, with a ready check when a match is found. Rated play, from the 0.5 note still in this file, gives every account a rating per class and per bracket, starting at 1500. That note says practice, guests, and bots are not rated. Saving a guest turns it into an account, which is why the 0.11 note puts a guest on the leaderboard only after Save Progress. Duels, added in 0.13, are unrated: right-click a portrait and choose Challenge to a Duel, or type /duel Name. A queue cancels a duel challenge.
These clocks are the match-rules record. The dampening field is stored as 0.001 per second. That is the raw number, not a percentage we converted.
| Rule | Value in the client |
|---|---|
| Preparation | 40 seconds |
| All ready | 5 seconds |
| Global cooldown | 1.5 seconds |
| Dampening starts | 300 seconds |
| Dampening per second | 0.001 |
| Time limit | 1200 seconds |
| Crit multiplier | 1.5 |
Arenas named in the client
- Nagrand Ring. Radius stored as 23.276.
- Ruins of Lordaeron. Radius stored as 24.
- Blade’s Edge, added in 0.15. The note calls it a log bridge over a gravel pit, with ramps at each end, and says height blocks line of sight.
How it differs from Azeroth Survivors
| Arena of Champions | Azeroth Survivors | |
|---|---|---|
| Session | Arena against other players, or a duel | A timed survivors run. Spells cast themselves. |
| Host | arenaofchampions.live | wow.aethus.pl |
| Browser graphics | WebGL2 canvas, from this build’s loader | WebGPU. See the WebGPU check. |
| This desk | This page. We do not track its server. | The guide, status, and builds. |
Both are fan projects using Warcraft’s setting. Neither is Blizzard’s client. The wider list, including WebWoW, is on WoW browser games. Survivors-likes that are not set in Azeroth stay on similar games.
Questions
Is Arena of Champions a WoW arena browser game?
The game at arenaofchampions.live is. It queues 1v1, 2v2, and 3v3 in the browser, with guest play and an optional account. It is not Blizzard’s Arena, not Last Epoch’s Arena of Champions mode, and not the old Flash game that uses the same name.
Do I need an account?
The sign-in screen has Play as Guest, and the 0.11 note in this client says no account is needed. Save Progress, in town, is how that guest becomes an email account. Guests show on the leaderboard once that save exists.
Is it the same game as Azeroth Survivors?
No. Azeroth Survivors is a survivors-like at wow.aethus.pl. Arena of Champions is player-versus-player arena at arenaofchampions.live. Different host, different session, different client.
Where is the Windows build?
On the same host, at arenaofchampions.live/download/ArenaOfChampions.exe. On 30 October 2026 that URL returned a 103,749,120 byte attachment, last modified 29 October 2026 at 23:18 UTC. This desk did not open or scan the file, and does not mirror it.
